Holistic Therapy for your Horse
EQUINE CUPPING
Cupping is a form of decompression massage. It helps to decompress the fascia and allows for increased blood flow, increased lymph flow, better nerve function and a reduction in pain. it helps encourage healing.
How does this work?
Decompression from cupping the fascia, breaks up fascia adhesions which will improve glide and movement along an entire fascia line. Decompressing the nerve endings in the fascia improves neural function, decreases pain and improves proprioception. This all results in improvement of movement.
The cups create a negative vacuum, decompressing and seperating the tissues below to create increased space. This allows for increased
blood flow and lymph flow which all assists with healing.
Cupping has a stronger decompression ability than tape, so it is able to affect some of the deeper layers of fascia.
